SodiumWise Privacy Policy

SodiumWise is a sodium tracking utility. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat, or guarantee health outcomes.

Information processed

• Barcode values you scan.
• Photos you choose to capture or import for sodium estimation.
• Extracted label/menu text and normalized scan results.
• Optional low-resolution scan audit thumbnails and timing/model metadata when you enable scan quality audit.

Processors

The app calls SodiumWise first-party Cloudflare Workers. Barcode lookups may use Open Food Facts. Photo analysis may route through OpenRouter and OpenAI using server-side keys. Provider keys are not stored in the app.

If you purchase a subscription, Apple processes the payment through the App Store and shares the purchase and subscription status with us. We use RevenueCat to validate App Store receipts and manage subscription entitlements; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and your subscription status, not your name or payment card. We do not receive or store your full payment details.

Retention and deletion

Your sodium journal is stored locally on your device for this MVP. You can delete local scans and today log in Settings. Optional scan audit data is retained for up to 7 days and can be deleted from Settings.
